Brooke Hurley, M.S.W., R.S.W.
Registered Social Worker In London, Ontario
Life can be challenging and sometimes we need support.
We can find ourselves in a place where we are struggling more than we can cope.
We may feel like we are stuck. Change is never easy and it can be hard to let go of what no longer serves us.
We all have the capacity to heal, but sometimes it is our own story that is getting in the way.
My priority is to create a safe, non judgemental, trusting space. I believe that people are experts in their own lives. Through a client centred, collaborative approach, I assist clients on their journey of healing and growth.
Grief and loss are expected realities of our lives, but you do not have to go through it alone. While society wants to rush us through grief, I provide you the space and time to process and learn to live with grief.
I’m passionate about women’s reproductive mental health and support women throughout life from PMS through to menopause.
I understand the mental struggle of receiving a life changing diagnosis and going through treatment. I also have an appreciation of how challenging it can be to be a caregiver and supporting someone in your life with illness.
As a registered social worker, I have been supporting clients for over a decade. I graduated from Wilfried Laurier University with a masters degree in social work. My undergraduate degree is in gerontology and I have a particular interest in supporting our senior population. I believe in an integrative approach to therapy while focusing mainly on cognitive behavioural therapy and narrative therapy. I work with empathy and compassion with my clients in a way that empowers and encourages them to move towards change that is meaningful.
