Susana Pearl, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Registered Psychologist In London, Ontario
Change is a part of life, and sometimes these changes/transitions, whether they are positive, such as the birth of a baby or a wedding, or difficult, such as suffering a loss or the end of a relationship, can be difficult to manage on your own. I am here to provide you with support as you travel through your journey.
As a psychologist, I consider my role to be one to help people walk through the challenging times in their life. I hope to provide support and guidance for people as they strive to overcome the hurdles, struggles or stressors they are faced with. My aim is to foster the growth and healing within you, allowing you to achieve and move in the direction you are striving for, resulting in greater feelings of empowerment and fulfillment.
I received training in a number of different theoretical orientations, and I would describe my approach as client-centred, drawing on emotion-focused therapy and narrative therapy.
Particular areas of interest include:
improving the quality of relationships
coping with separation/divorce
parenting, including parenting multiples
parenting post-separation/divorce
struggles with fertility
As a Registered Psychologist in Counselling Psychology, I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I am a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychological Association, as well as the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
I completed my education at the University of Toronto, which includes a Master of Science, a Master of Education, as well as a PhD in Psychology. My PhD thesis was in the area of children and families of separation and divorce. In addition to working with children and parents of separation and divorce, I provide counselling on an individual basis, as well as couples counselling and family counselling.
I look forward to the opportunity to help you move towards your goals of growth and contentment. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I welcome the opportunity to talk before scheduling an appointment.
